Captains Cottage

In 2017 Captain’s Cottage underwent a complete renovation resulting in a stunning, extremely comfortable cottage with genuine ‘wow factor’.  Attention to detail and careful planning have resulted in a truly unique place to stay.

Once inside however you will find stunning open plan living with original features galore. Internal walls have been removed, seamlessly opening up the kitchen, living and dining areas. Bi-fold doors lead out to a large Brazilian black slate patio with rattan table and chairs and an enclosed rear garden.

Think bespoke furniture and lighting, grey leather sofas, open fireplaces, rustic wooden floors, vaulted kitchen ceiling and a very luxurious finish. It really is something exceptional and offers a different experience to the other two cottages in terms of style and layout.

Lounge/Dining Area

The cottage has a stunning open plan ground floor with provides a perfect space for relaxing, cooking and eating.  Original stone and brick walls mixed with contemporary finishes makes this a very classy place to stay.  Bi-fold doors and a vaulted kitchen ceiling flood the area with light.  Two grey leather settees add to the comfort and visual effect.  Original brick fireplace with wood burning stove.  Rustic dining table and 4 chairs.


Brand new luxury kitchen with units finished in grey, fan-assisted oven with gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge.  Vaulted ceiling with beams and stone revealed.  A huge clock on the vaulted wall above adds to the visual effect.

Bedroom 1

Contemporary finish with rustic touches, white wooden double bed, bespoke bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers, wall mirror and built in wardrobes.  Window with views across the rear garden.  Wall mounted flat screen TV.

Bedroom 2

This bedroom has twin beds, bedside table, lamp and mirror.  The beds may be pushed together if required.


Spacious contemporary bathroom with vaulted ceiling, roll top bath, electric shower, WC and sink.  Wooden floorbaords.


There is a fully enclosed 60 foot rear garden mostly laid to lawn with a large black slate patio area.  On the patio you will find a table and chairs with further rattan style chairs on the lawn.


There is on road parking adjacent to the property. This is free, easy and unrestricted.

The property benefits from gas central heating throughout in addition to the

wood burner. Prices include gas, electricity and a basketful of wood for the fire.
